The Jewa€™s harp, jaw harp, mouth harp, or Ozark harp, trump and juice harp, is thought to be one of the oldest musical instruments in the world; a musician apparently playing it can be seen in a Chinese drawing from the 4th century BC. Despite its common English name, and the sometimes used Jewa€™s trump, it has no particular connection with the Jewish people or Judaism. This instrument is native to Asia and used in all tribes of Turkish people in Asia where it is variously referred to as a temir komuz, agiz komuzu or gubuz. The instrument is known in many different cultures by many different names. The common English name "Jewa€™s Harp" is controversial and is avoided by many speakers. Another name used to identify the instrument, especially in scholarly literature, is the older English trump, while guimbarde, derived from the French word for the instrument, can be found in unabridged dictionaries and is featured in recent revival efforts. We recorded the Jewa€™s Harp in-depth by recorded all the resonance layers and round-robin one could humanly get out of this wonder. In additional we did tons of more unique FX. But the most prominent part of the library is our fancy "word builder" for it a€¦ its actually cooler then a word builder a€¦ We sampled all letters in the alphabet (A-Z) and numbers (1-10) a€¦ But wait a€¦ THERE IS MORE a€¦ We also included the Danish letters A¦, A? and A? into the recordings, since there is a huge community of Scandinavian Jaw Harp composers eagerly awaiting this release.
